Well, I can definitely tell you’re passionate about this subject lol.
I must say though I’m not from the US, from the UK, just thought I should say lol. I know there are influences all around us, government, politics etc. I know people in life show us what they deem as the ‘right’ path, but truly as the individual you have the last choice, you take the step to whichever direction comes your way. Even if you don't get a first choice in a life situation, choices always present themselves again and again.
I’m not sure what messages or if the exact same message is being given by politics and the lot here in the UK. I’m sure there are similarities though. I remember actually one moment when I took an interest in politics, it was our general election and I was of age to vote, however it was really all new to me lol. I wasn’t ready to just make a vote due to things I heard from various people, I took my time to research between the parties running and that which people favoured (longgg, I know but I often do some digging around when I’m confronted with new subjects lool). I didn’t vote that year but hopefully I’ll be ready, if I choose to, next election.
Honestly, I know people in high seats, whatever, govern this world but they don’t govern me. Yes we’re told to go through a deemed ‘right’ path, but even as a child I questioned everything, school, religion, everything I came across lool. Sorry if it seems I’m throwing my belief out here but through my own personal experiences I have, continue and will always put my trust in God. I just physically can’t trust man, because I know myself I’m not perfect, I make mistakes, I have faults therefore any other wo‘man’ can too. Sometimes I do feel people need to realise the ‘man’ in governing position is and always will be ‘a man’ regardless of title. Therefore I’m a little cautious or rather I believe I now don’t choose to be influenced by what people governing the world say. But hey that’s me and my mind lol.
Here is a similarity I'm sure, the news talking about unemployment and graduates etc., I myself experienced the whole graduating and job hunting issue which wasn’t easy and definitely tested my faith. But I am a strong believer of doing something you enjoy, I wouldn’t go into a career or work in a field I have no joy in doing. Even if work gets a little tiring or the day isn’t a good one I know I made a choice to work where I work and I’m happy and grateful to be doing so.
I agree with a need for a better change, however I do personally think at the end of the day change has to start within, as you’ve put in your other works , the individual needs to change for the better first. The more that do change, I assume, the greater the impact or effect on the world will be and for future generations. However, I know I’m putting it bleakly now, I don’t think such a lasting union will come at least not by the hands of man. Doesn’t mean we can’t try. Lool sorry just my own opinion made by reasons long to explain.
