 ☆ Battling Time.

What is this un-explainable thing we call time.
So fierce and absolute,  that I can cannot hope to out climb.
Immeasurable in length, larger than life, with considerable strength.
I remember looking forward to catching up with it, dreaming of the day I 'grew up' per say, everything I knew becoming passionate and less 'elastic'- believing it would get better day after day.
I don't remember if I passed it, but I do know I can outlast it.

How blind we are  in our youth, ignorant even with proof.
Envisioning the future without thought, reason, or rhyme- before ever earning the right.
Without wisdom in maturity reaching its prime.
Accidental lives until the end of time, believing that everything is part of simple design.
A better way I am about to shine.
Let's attempt to envision this abstract humanized language misinterpretation.
"Follow along as we break down the word 'time'".

Can you put you finger on it?
What part of it's definition is dominant?

Wrongful understandings confuse even the most persistent of it's basic existence, not realizing the basic abstract definition 'being so artistic'.
Regardless of where you bring forth your ideas, what part of 'time' do you believe yourself to exist?

I wish I didn't have to re educate and fix, what your ill conceived opinions consist.
Though I assure you this will shed "a secret" to what we know as life~ but the effectiveness of its wisdom, is dependent on how you depict it~ how open minded you are, and mentally less restricted.
The only common understanding of time that is true- the only definition with enough worth to pursue- is what is known as the 'future you', which not everyone who surrounds, myself included, always knew.

A handful of you, the philosophical explanation that I am about to explain, is nothing new~ but it would be refreshing to know that there is more than just a 'few', who share my minds wisdom rather the less idiotic opinions that continually accrue.
The 'rest of you' will become enlightened and so forth supremely grow- through my demonstration.

As you read this, choose a moment; not the future, not the past, but the only point of time you know to exist, the current and present time, "of which I'm about to surpass".
Choosing what you know as, 'right now', and be exact.
Are you done choosing?

To those of you who succeeded in choosing, 'what is now the past': as you can see it has already 'came and passed', that was simply a philosophical practice test.
Let's try something new, but of similar contrast:

Now that you've had some practice, and aware of the more abstract nature of 'current time', I want you to similarly in your mind, choose an exact moment 'to the best of your ability' and 'with it create a representation' of what you know to be  'current and present time':
Attempt to follow it on a 'moving line', moving forward as you read further into my rhyme, parallel to the original moment you chose and 'actual time'.
Similar to throwing darts at a dart board:  'the moment you choose' being the 'dart', and 'actual time' being the 'bulls eye'.
Assuming you understand the picture that I am painting, and the representation I am trying to depict: How close to the bulls eye do you think you came?
How close do you predict?
Are you watching closely, here's an impressive trick -  dismantling your perception of time.

As you started to develop a representation of  current time, the present line, or what is known as 'right now', and humoring my insanity frame of mind -  which I 'thank you' by the way, and truly hope you gain the wisdom I hoped you would for playing my mental game -  did you pertain the time it took for your eye's to pick up the instructions I conveyed?

The time it took to read the letters on the page.
How long it took for letters to form words, followed by by establishing the meaning I was portraying?
Even fractional, minuscule, nearly non existent portions of a millisecond, determine the difference of the past, the present, and the future; and determine the difference of hitting close to the bulls eye, or missing the board entirely.
What about the time it took for your eye's to tell your brain what they were seeing, or for your brain to interpret what it's receiving, understand what it interpreted, and give further instructions from which it's perceiving.

It's a chaotic mental explosion and philosophical manifestation of our brains reasoning limitations, trying to decipher, and understand what 'right now' truly is; outside of misconstrued ideology presentation that education taught our brain to remember.

The 'idea' right now is so limiting, and you can see it's damaging effects on humanity in our day to day lives, everywhere you go; affecting and 'infecting' everything we do.
Not understanding the truth, people are becoming simpler and more small minded, marginally excessive by each 'second', living in the present without care of the future.
Not realizing that we 'are' our future selves, that "our happiness is  completely dependent on whether or not our future self is happy", not our past self and most definitely not our present selves.

Our present self is an imaginary portrayal of the most selfish side of ourselves.
Since there is 'no present', until we stop living in the past, we will continue to have no future.
Stop being selfish, and make your true self happy:  your future self.  No one else matters.

I'm fascinated with "time" (even if I struggle with it... all the time, being always late on everything  :P  ), as a concept, so this piece immediately caught my attention. I like how you play with the readers and involve them directly in your philosophic discussion; it's quite original even for abstract literature, in my opinion.  :)
I've a question, though: did you write "it's" instead of "its" on purpose, or they are just typos? If it's the latter case I suggest you to fix them, since they are a bit distracting, and it's a shame for such an interesting piece.
